Worked at Chandler Road Deputising services for 3 years, before moving to Longwarry in January
2019.

Dr Anu Nakandalage

Female General Practitioner

Dr. Anu Nakandalage graduated from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2012 and worked there for more than 4 years both as a GP and a hospital medical officer before migrating to Australia in 2017.

Since then, Dr Anu has worked in 2 Victorian Hospitals gaining much valuable insight into Australian Health System before moving into General Practice.

Anu is working as a general practitioner for more than two and a half years in Australia and completed Sydney Child Health Programme (Diploma in Child Health) with the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network in 2019.

Dr Devendran Sinnadurai

Male – General Practitioner

Dr Dev attended medical school in India, after which he returned to serve his motherland Malaysia, where he went through various departmental postings and finally worked in the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit for 12 years in a tertiary hospital in the capital city.
He started working in the South West Regional Hospital in Western Australia in 2021. He underwent various departmental postings to learn about the Australian Health System and finally served in the Emergency Department for one and a half years.
While working in the Emergency Department, he loves meeting new people and forming connections with them especially from regional and rural areas. This is when he realized a calling to General Practice. He recently shifted to Victoria to start a new career in General Practise to serve people in the regional and rural areas.
He is currently undertaking the path to fellowship with the RACGP.
Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family and meeting people.

Dr. Amila (MBBS, 2014, Sri Lanka) initially worked as a staff grade anesthetist before transitioning to general medicine, enabling him to provide comprehensive care across various specialties. He has built a solid foundation through his medical training in Sri Lanka and his clinical experience at Swan Hill District Health. Additionally, Dr. Amila has served as a Medical Registrar at Mersey Community Health in Tasmania for over a year, further broadening his expertise across multiple medical disciplines.

Dr Amila is currently undertaking the path to fellowship with the RACGP.

Dr Idris Sonmez

Dr. Idris Sonmez graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Uludağ University (Bursa, Turkiye) in 2000. He has 25 years of experience as a medical doctor, including over 11 years of general practice experience in Turkiye.
He has successfully completed observership training with senior general practitioners and has been admitted to the Pre-Fellowship Program through the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria. He is set to advance his GP training at Longwarry Medical Centre as he works towards Fellowship with the RACGP.
He is a compassionate and dedicated medical practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality, holistic care to his patients. He prioritises staying current with the latest treatments and training to support his patients in maintaining their health and overall quality of life.
